Dan Lee

Mr. Lee has over 25 years of experience as a geologist ranging from government surveys and basic grass roots exploration to providing critical inputs to multi-disciplinary teams assessing the economic viability of mineral resources. Born in Goose Bay, Labrador he started out as a government geologist, gaining extensive experience during studies of Labrador geology. Later he took on a lead exploration role with Archean Resources, discovery team of the Voisey’s Bay mine. After the acquisition by Inco Mr. Lee had the unique opportunity to study all of the deposits in detail working for Inco. His team developed a progressive depositional model of the deposits which was the framework that guides exploration at Voisey’s Bay. With Vale-Inco he successfully worked with Aboriginal Groups to develop businesses and established the Safety Management System used by the two companies.
